Tracking Tricks

The Weight-Loss Skill: Tracking better—more accurately and more consistently—for improved weight-loss results

The Challenge: Though tracking is simple in theory—write down what you eat, along with the portion sizes and PointsPlus™ values—it’s not always simple in practice. It can be hard to be consistent, and questions and misconceptions can make it all the more difficult. Even longtime members who’ve mastered basic tracking may discover that there are advanced tracking techniques that could help them...if only they knew about them and how to use them.

The Points Plus Solution: In today’s meeting, we will learn ways to track better—more consistently and more accurately. We will share the obstacles preventing us from tracking consistently as well as the tried-and-true strategies we’ve discovered for making tracking work in our lives. Members who are ready to advance beyond the basics will get to explore opportunities for advanced tracking (including recording such things as hunger levels and emotions as well as food intake and activity, and using the Simply Filling technique).
